Summary:This story is set in the same world as Observations. You don't need to have read the first story, but you probably do need to know that in an alternative version of season 7, there was no First Evil. Spike did get his soul and he did live with Xander, and through opportunity and circumstance they entered into a D/s relationship, eventually leaving Sunnydale to live in San Francisco. This story is set 3 years after that.
